The NCRA is a statewide organization, which is recognized by USA Racquetball (USAR) as the governing body of racquetball in North Carolina. The NCRA is responsible for sanctioning tournaments in North Carolina under the guidelines set forth by the USAR. The aims and objectives of the NCRA are as follows:

1. To promote and extend the sport of racquetball in North Carolina.
2. To supervise and administer a continuing racquetball program for all players.
3. To unify and coordinate the efforts of all agencies interested in promoting racquetball and to provide an entity to have a voice regarding the development of the sport in North Carolina.
4. To train and certify racquetball officials in accordance with guidelines set forth by the USAR.
5. To raise funds to continually offer improvement in the sport of racquetball.
6. To resolve disputes that may arise at all levels.
7. To ensure a consistency in racquetball programs and tournaments.

The Board of Directors of the NCRA consists of not less than five, nor more than fifteen members of the NCRA. At least one member must be female. Board members serve three-year terms.
