Aloha Open
It's that time of year again. The days are getting longer and warmer and before long you will once again feel those warm Hawaiian breezes blowing through the Winston Salem Athletic Club as the Aloha Open returns for it's eighth year on June 18-20. Set this date aside and plan to enter early as this tournament has sold out for the last 5 years in a row. There is a 130 player limit and we've reached that limit one week ahead of the deadline the last 3 years. The tournament also starts at 12pm on Friday for all the large divisions (A, B, C, D). This Hawaiian themed tournament has proven to be a hit with players all along the eastern seaboard and beyond, and traditionally attracts some of the best women players in the game. With great hospitality, a huge rafflle, our signature Hawaiian souvenir shirts, and of course the famous Aloha Party by the Pool on Saturday night, this year featuring a great Troprock band, the Tsunami Wave Riders, this tournament offers more than just great competition. The Tsunami Wave Riders are a great 6 piece band with 2 steel drums, to really give you that island feeling. So plan to learn to Hula with Ronnie Tsunami, and have a great time at the party. HERE.
And this year we will have the Limbo contest again with a cash prize of $50 to the winner. And just wait until you see the Winston Salem Athletic Club. It is simply beautiful, with 6 courts in great condition. So make your plans now so you don't get left out of one of the most fun tournaments in the state. Click
